Kid Crafts

This is a website dedicated to the creation of Kids Crafts.

The Rooster made me do it!  So, you say to yourself, what do you mean by that?  My daughter was in pre-school and came home with a page from her coloring book.  She had just turned 5 and I was ecstatic to see how many colors she used while coloring in the barnyard rooster.  Not only did this make it to my refrigerator door; but, it stayed prominently displayed there all year.  I have been crafty all my life and this was the first sign that my daughter was going to follow in my footsteps.  Later that year, we had a home visit from my daughter's teacher who wanted to show commitment to my child's' development both inside and outside the classroom.  I was happy and enjoyed her visit.

During our conversation, she spoke about some of the goals that she had followed for the classroom throughout the past year and we stumbled onto the topic of coloring.  She described how she encouraged the children to color exactly as they would see in real life and discouraged deviation from this.  I ran to my refrigerator and said this was my favorite coloring that I received all year from my child.  Little did I know, it was a prime example of what not to do from her perspective.  I still love the Rooster and decided that I would create an arts and crafts website for children believing that it is a great way for developing creativity within your child.  This website is designed to help you generate ideas for craft projects. Allow your child the freedom to recreate these crafts as well as explore his own ideas without the fear of failure. There are no mistakes in crafting.  So, sit back, relax, and enjoy our  kid crafts projects throughout the year.  Above all, have FUN!  We do!

I know by now that if you have read this introduction to this point then you must be curious about what the rooster looked like.  Go to the about us page to see.  Let me know your thoughts about the rooster!
